On Friday, April 2nd, twelve IEEE Oregon Section members arrived at Portland State University at 7:30am to be IEEE awards judges for the Intel Northwest Science Expo.  The IEEE Oregon Section has seven categories for judging the excellence of our middle and high school students.  The winning students in each category receive recognition in the form of a certificate and a 4 GB USB drive.

"Thank you to the high-school (HS) judges: John Vinson (lead judge), Yongji (Fred) Fu, Walter Kaelin, Anil Kumar, Chris Jacobs, Deanna Phillips, Mark Weaver, and Ed Perkins

and the middle-school (MS) judges: Coral Jean Cotterell (lead Judge) Raja Neogi, Beenish Zia, and Ken Tsui

The students appreciate that you are willing to take time out from your busy schedules to meet with them and discuss their projects with you.  You are providing encouragement to them to consider pursuing careers in engineering.  Thank you for your participation".

Coral Jean Cotterell (middle-school lead judge)
