This talk addresses the entire team—Executives, Managers, Engineers and Product Developers—and gives them tools for an efficient, prosperous future. Clark Wilson, Principal at Product Development Innovation, will share his insights for organizing and executing product development that delivers successful new products repeatably. In his experience, a “Product Development Pathway” provides a practical framework—with a heavy emphasis on the practical—for companies to field new products efficiently. This talk will focus on increasing the capability for new product development in your organization. Mr. Wilson will share the techniques and templates that he has seen successfully deployed in companies along with pitfalls to be avoided. 5:30 P.M. Registration table opens5:30 – 6:00 P.M. This has spanned a diverse range of goods, from winches and locking hubs at Warn Industries, printers at Tektronix, heavy equipment for mining at Atlas Copco Wagner and projectors at InFocus. A keen observer, Clark saw development resources were squandered by not making the right decisions at the right time. To improve things, he spent a lot of time researching, implementing and evolving new product development processes. Clark started Product Development Innovation to help small and rapidly growing companies organize their new product thinking so that resources are effectively deployed. He is focused on pragmatic and scalable techniques that help companies move forward without getting stuck in overly complex processes. For more background, see http://www.pd-innovation.com.
