Responsibilities

Industrial Engineers determine the most efficient sequence of operations and work-flow and establish methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel.

Develops metrics to measure facilities capacity and output, and to identify equipment and process flow bottlenecks.

Conducts studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems. On the basis of these studies, develops and implements plans and programs for facility modifications and revisions to operating methods.

Responds to customer/client requests or events as they occur. Develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgment.

Local Members Win IEEE Medal For Environmental And Safety Technologies PDF Print E-mail

Two Oregon Section IEEE members plus an EPA employee who were instrumental in the development of EPEAT have been awarded the 2010 IEEE Medal For Environmental And Safety Technologies to be presented at the IEEE Honors Ceremony in Montreal.

ZigBee is a set of application profiles, built on top of the IEEE 802.15.4 standard, which defines a low cost, low power, reliable mesh network with guaranteed interoperability with other like networks. IEEE 802.15.4 defines a robust choice of peer-to-peer, star, tree and mesh networks – all optimized for low-bandwidth, low-power monitoring and control.
