Quality Plus Engineering is seeking experienced engineers or technically qualified individuals for opportunities in a new and expanding field: technical governance, assurance and implementation of risk controls. Of special interest are Senior Security and Software Quality Assurance Engineers. Positions require CS, EE or comparable technical degree. Security certification including CISSP or other certifications such as CIA, CISA is preferred. Individual must be capable of obtaining security clearance. Other areas of interest include demonstrable knowledge and experience in intrusion detection, software quality, networks/perimeter auditing, system forensics, and /or network security. POSITION: A part-time instructor is needed to teach Electronics II (Applications of Electronic Devices) during the spring semester of 2006 (January 9 – April at George Fox University in Newberg, Oregon. Candidates should hold an MS in Electrical Engineering or closely related field and be comfortable working in a Christian, faith-affirming context. Previous classroom teaching experience is desirable. The engineering program at George Fox has state of the art engineering laboratory and computer facilities and is accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET).

Pacific NW High Tech Career Fair Featuring 100’s of High Tech Jobs

The Pacific NW Tech Career Fair is sponsored by the IEEE Seattle Section, and the Society of Professional Engineering Employees in Aerospace (SPEEA).

One-day seminar/tutorial on Wireless PAN Technology and IEEE802.15.4/Zigbee™ at Kingstad Meeting Center, Beaverton, OR

This seminar will introduce the major aspects of current Wireless PANs (Personal Area Networks) development (wireless USB, wireless UWB, Zigbee) and provide a tutorial on the IEEE 802.15.4 wireless networking standard. A roadmap of standards work in the space will be presented. The basic protocol physical and MAC layers for 802.15.4 will be described. IEEE 802.15.4 is a low-speed, very low-power protocol, is particularly suited to application specific embedded systems.
