Seeking Nominations for 2006 Officers

The Oregon Section is seeking members who are interested in helping with Section operations in 2006 by serving as an officer or as a committee member. Section officers are Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer. We are especially seeking someone to serve as Section Vice Chair for 2006 with the possibility of advancing to Chair in 2007, and someone for Student Activities Chair.

We also are looking for members to help with PACE (Professional Activities) programs, Education (workshops/seminars), newsletter (BEEEP) reporters.

Also we are seeking Senior Members willing to provide references for members applying for upgrades. Please contact Ed Perkins, Nominations Chair at e.perkins@ieee.org.

Matt Knudson and Matthew MacClary from OSU will discuss the design, construction, and testing of  vehicle hardware and software for their entry in the 2005 DARPA Grand Challenge, which will be on display. They will also perform a live demonstration of autonomous operation of this vehicle.
