New Section Officers for 2005

The Section Executive Committee approved the new officers for 2005 at its December meeting. They are

·         Dan Arnold, chair,

·         Bob Sparkes, vice-chair,

·         Hamid Sharifnia, secretary.

Dan was vice-chair for the past two years and works at UL in Vancouver . Bob is a long-time member and works for Maxim. Hamid has been active in the PES chapter and also teaches at PSU. Ed Perkins becomes past chair. The Section thanks Pat Barrett for his service as Section secretary in 2004, and Susan Hamill for her contributions as secretary in 2003 and treasurer in 2004.

The Section still needs a treasurer, and is accepting applications from members who wish to volunteer. Some experience in IEEE activities or in being a treasurer or managing finances is preferred.
